Radio frequencies: towards a ban on mobile primary school

The panel on the radio, which brings together government, associations and mobile operators, selected Monday 25 May ten points to limit the impact of waves on health, including prohibiting the use of telephone portable elementary school. Another measure of the "Grenelle of the waves, the proposal offers an exclusive SMS service without voice.

This esemble package, which consists of ten items, is designed to inform the general public. An Internet portal will be available for French, on the websites of ministries. An information campaign will be held after giving notice of the Agence française de sécurité sanitaire de l'environnement et du travail (Afsset).

Secondly, targeted information will be available to local elected officials and health professionals. These two categories will be particularly informed, respectively, to allow their citizens and their patients to stay healthy on this point.

Sensitive individuals will be supported, particularly by teams from the Cochin hospital in Paris. On the precautions taken by the general public, the development by the telephone phone to the use of the headset, or "handsfree", will be encouraged.

The ten recommendations are also the use of mobile phones among children, as the proposal to offer exclusive SMS service without voice, or prohibiting the right of children to use mobile phones within the premises of primary schools. Currently, the prohibition of mobile phones in primary schools is the responsibility of the head.

These provisions are in addition to those already taken at the so-called "Grenelle 2", namely the prohibition of advertising on these products to children under 12 years, and the obligation to provide a kit handsfree.
